HBMSU’s Board of Governors discusses quality standards of educational outcome with Learners Council

 

The Board of Governors of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) met with the University Learners Council recently to discuss the integrity and quality of the educational outcomes in the university in a first-of-its-kind gathering in the UAE. The meeting reviewed also the importance of engaging the youth in ongoing national efforts towards building a competitive knowledge-based economy. Taking place on the sidelines of the second regular meeting for the Academic Year 2016/ 2017, the gathering was led by H.E. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai and Chairman of the University’s Board of Governors who emphasized the role of higher education incorporating innovative and smart methodologies in enabling learners to lead the country’s future comprehensive development.

Emirates Talent Association, in cooperation with Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) and Microsoft, has officially launched recently the ‘Local Programmer’ initiative. The program was launched in the presence of H.E. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police, General Security in Dubai, and Chairman of the University’s Board of Governors and Chairman of the Emirates Talent Association, receiving praise from UAE-wide educational and academic circles. The initiative will boost national efforts aimed at achieving the goals of UAE Vision 2021 in harnessing the potential of local human capital and investing in the promising talents in innovation, leadership and knowledge in order to make the UAE one of the world’s most advanced countries.

Innovation Arabia 10 kicks off with common aspirations for preparing for the future of Arab societies

HBMSU tops Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Awards in Middle East for second consecutive year

 

H.E. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Governors of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), has dedicated the University’s recent winning of Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Award 2016 to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and University President, as a sign of appreciation, loyalty and gratitude for the latter’s ongoing support for the march of equipping the youth with science and knowledge as they are the sole, constant, dominant weapons in this life.

Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) and Chairman of the Governing Board of the United Nations Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO), joined an elite group of international leaders and experts participating in Mobile Learning Week (MLW) 2017 held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France under the theme ‘Education in Emergencies and Crises.’ He presented an ambitious international project for providing quality learning to refugees using HBMSU’s proven innovative and ‘smart’ teaching methodologies based primarily on the Lifelong Learning Model.

HBMSU becomes first university in Middle East and Africa region to be recognized for ISO 22301 compliance

 

The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) has recently been awarded the International Standard Organization (ISO) 22301 Business Continuity Management System certification, making it the first university in the Middle East and African region (MEA) to earn the prestigious international standard that affirms the university’s preparedness to perform and continue its operations in the event of an emergency or disruptive incident and return to normal business as quickly as possible. The university was also awarded the Record of Verification to ISO 29990 for Learner Services Providers following an external audit by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited.

HBMSU and Holistic join forces to implement transformative solutions in line with Dubai 10X initiative

 

In support of the vision of the wise leadership to build a global capital for the future, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Holistic to collaborate on initiatives that will pave the way for Dubai to become a ‘transformation economy’ from being an ‘experience economy.’ The MoU is in response to the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and HBMSU President, to form partnerships according to the objectives of Dubai 10X initiative recently launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
